Chance to win Tickets to Newark 2013 - HERE, NOW.
We announced previously that Kit Car Magazine were running a Spot the Difference competition in the May issue of Kit Car Magazine. 10 Family tickets (up to 2 adults & 2 children) valid either day of the show, are up for grabs.
Unfortunately we are really sorry that there has been a mistake made when printing the competition. The original picture got printed twice and so there are no differences. To make the best of the situation, we have decided to run the competition from our website. So here it is, give it a go, and good luck!

There are four things missing in the second photograph. To enter this competition, either email your contact details and a list of the missing items to info@kitcarshow.co.uk or send this information in the post to Newark Competition, 11 Meadow Close, Hove, Sussex BN3 6QQ. The closing date for the competition is Friday 31st May whereby the first 10 correct entries will be chosen at random.

The Newark Kit Car Show is famous for bringing to the public's attention some wonderful one off specials and an example of just such a vehicle is this one to watch out for.
Heading for the show, for one day only, is a very special one off car designed and built by John Wright. It is bound to catch your attention. A modified 1972 Leyland Lorry chassis has been used and fitted with a Tilling-Stevens 3 cylinder, 6 piston, super-charged two stroke diesel engine and 5 speed gearbox. With a Cadillac 8.2 litre rear axle with L.S.D and using Mercedes truck power steering. It uses a Fordson tractor radiator inside a John Wright shell. It uses Ford 100E roof panels to give the curved body work. As we said something very different. Also keep your eyes peeled for the owners very special Citroen.
To see more examples of cars like this one, you just need to be at the show. Don’t miss it!
John Cowperthwaite of MOSS, Husky and J C Midge kit car fame makes a return to Newark Kit Car show as an exhibitor.
Things on wheels, John's latest business venture is a kids race car. Called the "Lightning" the car is powered by a cordless drill. You can have one built to order for £300, but most people buy the plans for £15 and build their own for less than £100.
The car is constructed from just five shaped MDF panels which form the basic underbody structure.
The front and rear sections are made from a modified kitchen swingbin!
It is powered by a cordless drill driving on one tyre in what is known as a periphery drive
The drill trigger is actuated remotely with a foot pedal via a bicycle brake cable this provides graded acceleration and automatic braking when the pedal is released
If you want to buy the plans to build one yourself you can build one over a weekend
All the parts you will need are available either over the counter or from Things on wheels if you prefer.
The plans and instructions are very simple. You need basic DIY skills and simple hand tools. There is no welding and no wiring required.
Paper patterns are supplied for you to cut out the shaped MDF panels with a jig-saw.
Test drives available, but only drivers aged 5 and under need apply.
