to the show during the year of foot and mouth, 2001, when there was few places
where the modellers could exhibit. The indoor Model Engineering Exhibition is
now well established and integrated into the show. There are over 25 individuals

with much care and attention to detail, including some matchstick models. Exhibits
include miniature steam engines and stationary engines, agricultural machinery
from days gone by as well as fairground exhibits, including fairground organs.
There are models of all kinds vehicles covering the history of transport. Some
of the machinery can be seen working, it is well worth a visit. The modellers
are very happy to chat they have a wealth of information.
