The show opens to the public at 10.00am on Saturday and 9.30am on Sunday. The Exhibition Halls do not open until 10.00am on Saturday and 9.30am on Sunday. Individuals/club members arriving in their kit car, classic car, or any other suitable display vehicle will be allowed onto the showground to park, from 7.30am on both days. Campers may arrive at any time during the weekend after 1.00pm on the Friday.
Yes, during the show hours there will be a variety of food outlets on the showground. There are roadside fast food outlets less than 1000 metres from the showground entrance (Little Chef, McDonalds and Burger King) and Newark town centre is less than two miles away.
No! You do not need to worry about booking tickets to the show, simply arrive on the day. The public car park is the second entrance from the roundabout on the A46, the public car park will open at 9.30am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday, but public admission will not commence until 10.00am on Saturday, and 9.30am on Sunday.
Yes! We do have an area outside, reserved for cars for sale. This is strictly for privately owned vehicles and not for Traders. You do need to pre-book a space. Classic cars, Sports cars, and in some cases donor vehicles will also be accepted in this area.
Yes, you can bring your dog to this years show.
Yes. We advise use of the public car parking, as it is closer to the main exhibition hall. We instruct our car parking staff to reserve some disabled parking spaces close to the Public Entrance. Please ask the staff for advice.
The showground is serviced with good tar macadam roads and this is the case for the link between the entrance and the main exhibition hall, which should be good for wheel chair users. The hall complies with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995(DDA). Ramps to the entrance, wide doors etc. are all in place. There are disabled toilets on site at the Public Entrance, The Cedric Ford Building and the Joe Hallam, where the toilet / showers are located.
There are no special facilities for babies on the showground - no changing rooms etc. There is a recently refurbished toilet and shower block available for washing. Newark town centre is approximately a mile away, with supermarkets even closer.
Unfortunately no electrical `hook-up' is available. There are acres of space for camping and erecting an awning is not a problem.
No, you will not be permitted to do so. Mini bikes, scooters, monkey bikes etc., are all banned from the showground. When the showground is open to the public as it is for our show the Road Traffic Act is in operation. Mini motorbikes, scooters, monkey bikes etc., are not permitted under the Road Traffic Act. Also any one driving a vehicle must have a driving licence, be insured for the vehicle, comply with the Road Traffic Act and observe the 10 mph speed limit on the showground.
There is a no smoking policy inside all of the buildings on the showground.
